What Goldendoodle Does ‘All Day’ When Owner At Work Breaks Hearts

When you are at home, your pup is probably around you all the time, begging for snacks or wanting to be petted. But have you ever wondered what they’re up to when you’re not home with them?

A dog owner has melted hearts on social media after revealing what her puppy does when she’s not at home with her, in a video that has since gone viral.

In the heartwarming clip, shared on Instagram earlier in June, under the username @chloethedoodette, the goldendoodle can be seen sitting by the window, patiently waiting for her mom to come back home to her.

A caption reads: “Ever wonder what your dog is doing or thinking while you’re at work? I found mine waiting by the window all day…”

The poster, Amanda, told Newsweek that luckily the one-and-half-year-old pup doesn’t get to stay home alone often. In fact, she usually goes to work with her.

She said: “She loves to be around people and wants to be around me 24/7. She goes with me everywhere that she can go. I am a realtor so she generally rides to work with me.

“And then if I’m not home, she stays by the window looking at people or watching, like, I don’t know, birds and cars. But she’s not ever alone for too long as my job is so flexible.”

Besides waiting for you, there are lots of other things that dogs love to do when they’re home alone. One is watching out the window, checking out every single person or bike behind the glass, the canine resource site Rover states. They also often check out every single trash can in the house.

Another thing they like to do is shine your shoes, with their saliva of course! Some dogs take the chance to bark out loud while others will sleep until you’re back to give them treats!

The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across Instagram. It has so far received over 47.7 million views and 1.9 million likes on the platform.

One user, Itsjustrocky, commented: “I got my dog a cat, they always breaking s*** when left home unsupervised but this was so cute.”

Karliebsug said: “This baby is super cute! It makes me sad leaving my pup for any period of time, but sometimes you may not have any other options.”

Lady_maryj wrote: “Laying on my robe til I get home …I started to leave it out for her intentionally.”

Brinha24 added: “Mine does the same thing. I hate to leave her home alone. Her brother passed away and since his passing, she developed separation anxiety. It’s so sad for both of us. Dogs are the best little Angels around.”
